Hi, I am Liliana Garcia. I am a current Ph.D. student at the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education at the University of California, Santa Barbara. My research interests include  informal STEM education and STEM identity development for latina students. 

I graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a bachelor of science in physics and a California teaching credential. My experiences as a Latina woman in STEM have shaped my research interest to understand the development of identity and sense of belonging of female students in science classrooms.
